The program will be presented by Phyllis Ballard, Bowie County Master Gardener.
Seed saving is important because it helps preserve different varieties of plants for future generations. It allows gardeners to grow crops without depending completely on buying new seeds each season.
Saving seeds also helps protect biodiversity and maintain plants that may be well-adapted to local environments. It can also reduce gardening costs while promoting self-sufficiency.
Overall, seed saving is a simple way to support sustainable agriculture and protect valuable plant resources. Join us
to learn more about saving seeds and interact with others from the community who enjoy talking about gardening.
