Festival goers from all around the country turned out in New Boston last week for the annual Pioneer Days festival. The fun for all ages included a carnival on the midway, a host of vendors at the Trail Head Park pavilion, and a wide variety of musical acts.
This year’s festival included an old school finale with the musical talents of country music legend Gene Watson, and as always, the highlight of the event was Saturday morning’s parade through downtown. This year’s parade, themed “Party Like it’s 1776”, saw New Boston Elementary take 1st place for their float, followed by Landmark Pentecostal Church earning 2nd place and Lesco Builders earning third.
