Billy DeWayne Tutt

Billy DeWayne Tutt, age 35, of New Boston, Texas, passed away in Texarkana, Arkansas. Billy was born on July 31, 1990.

Billy was preceded in death by his father, W.L. Tutt Jr.; his grandfather, W.L. Tutt Sr.; his grandmother, Sue Barrett; his great-grandparents, Billy and Jean Goodwin, Tom and Lucille Totty, and William and Della Tutt.

He is survived by his loving mother, Dana Totty-Eubanks, and stepfather, Troy Eubanks; his brother, Bryan Eubanks; and his sister, Reagan Eubanks. He is also survived by his grandparents, Harrell and Barbara Totty, Gary and Jo Eubanks, and Linda Tutt.

Billy leaves behind many beloved aunts and uncles, including Justin and Sandy Totty, Cary and Kathy Eubanks, Starlyn and Keith Carter, Tiffany and Steve Annis, Donna Jolly, Brenda and Greg Harmon, and Carolyn and Jerry Lorance. He is also survived by numerous great-aunts, great-uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Billy was especially blessed with a close family of friends at The Gardens in Texarkana, Arkansas, whose love, friendship, and unwavering support meant so much to him.

Billy was a simple man who never asked for much in life. Though he left this world far too soon, he will forever be remembered with love by those who truly knew him. He had a servant’s heart and found great joy in helping others, often putting their needs before his own. He loved making crafts and drawings, not to keep for himself, but to give away simply to brighten someone’s day.

While Billy wasn’t always eager to participate, once he joined in, he was often the one to beat. He wasn’t known for giving many hugs, but when he did, they were the kind that stayed with you. He had a remarkable way of finding solutions when others believed something couldn’t be done. Though naturally quiet and content with solitude, Billy made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know the gentle, kind, and determined person he was.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in the memories he leaves behind and in the lives he touched through his quiet acts of kindness, generosity, and love.

As the saying goes:

“We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love, and then we return home.”

Billy has now returned home. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

A memorial service to honor Billy will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, with Pastor James Sparks officiating.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the same day at Bates Family Funeral Home.

Cremation is under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
