Joe Connor Hart

Joe Connor Hart, age 87of Hooks, Texas passed away Monday, June 22, 2026 in Hooks.   Mr. Hart was born September 13, 1938 in New Boston, Texas to Joe Carroll and Emeline Hart.  Known for his hard working nature, he was Owner and Operator of Hart Farms and Construction. He served on the Board of Directors of many Associations across Bowie County including the ASCS Board, Miller Bowie Farmers Association , Bowie County State Bank, Oaklawn Bank, FirstBank, Bancorp South and the National Bank of Bossier, Bossier City, Louisiana.  Joe Connor is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Carroll and Emeline Hart.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, James Connor Hart, Joe Roberson Hart and Rachel Strain, his grandchildren Presley Hart and Houston Hart. One sister, Katie Hart Armatige and the mother of his children, Kathy Hart.  Also a special friend, Stina along with many many other friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 26, 2026 at Ramage Farms, 5600 FM 560, Hooks, Texas with Roger Sheppard officiating.  A  private burial will follow.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, June 25, 2026 in the Bates Rolf Chapel, New Boston, Texas.
